The league comprises 20 teams that compete annually from August to May, with each team playing 38 matches—19 home and 19 away. The three lowest-placed teams at the end of the season are relegated to the EFL Championship, while the top three teams from the Championship are promoted to the Premier League. The league is known for its high-quality play, international talent, and substantial financial investments, making it a significant contributor to English football’s global appeal. The Premier League also has a robust television broadcasting presence, enhancing its visibility and popularity across the globe.
